About Thai Spoon

Let me introduce you to Thai Spoon Restaurant, a laid-back Thai restaurant tucked into the Ann Arbor food scene that locals quietly rave about. Located at 4119 Stone School Rd, Ann Arbor, MI 48108, United States, Thai Spoon feels like one of those places you discover once and then keep coming back to whenever the craving for real comfort food hits. The vibe is relaxed and welcoming, making it easy to swing by for a quick bite or settle in for a longer, more leisurely meal. What stands out right away is how approachable the menu feels, blending familiar Thai flavors with options that work for just about every lifestyle. Whether you’re leaning toward lighter, healthy options or want something warm and filling after a long day, there’s always something that fits the moment. I also like how Thai Spoon caters to different dining styles, offering dine-in for when you want the full experience, plus takeaway and delivery for those busy nights when staying in just makes more sense. On warmer days, outdoor seating adds an extra layer of comfort, especially if you enjoy eating at your own pace. The kitchen does a solid job of keeping vegan and vegetarian options front and center, which makes it an easy pick when you’re dining with friends who have different preferences. Portions are satisfying without being overwhelming, and the food consistently delivers that cozy, homemade feel people look for in a good Thai restaurant. Thai Spoon comes across as dependable, flavorful, and refreshingly unpretentious, the kind of neighborhood spot that fits naturally into your routine rather than feeling like a special-occasion-only destination, while still offering enough variety and quality to keep things interesting every time you stop by. It’s the kind of place where service feels smooth and straightforward, menus are easy to navigate, and flavors stay consistent, so you know exactly what you’re getting, whether you’re dropping in between errands or ordering ahead for a relaxed night at home.

No thrill restaurant with sit down and clean after yourself option but with super delicious authentic Thai food. The owner is super friendly and food is always ready super fast. Servings are generous. A little bit on a spicy side for me even for mild opposition so I always ask for no spices.

I just moved here and ordered this for the first time and let me tell youuuuu they will actually make their dishes spicy if you ask for it! So many times I’ve been let down by ordering medium or medium+ spice level and… no spice to be found. Not here! It was the perfect level of heat. Highly recommend the drunken noodles and the green curry. Can’t wait to try more dishes. It was so good. I will absolutely be back.

Spotted Thai Spoon on Google maps and they had a good rating so we stopped by for lunch. The place was empty which is good for us, but unforgivable based on our experience. Service is quick and kind. The green curry was so good, every bite I was looking forward to the next. EAT HERE! Edit: returned and got the green curry again it's the best I've ever had! Broth is incredible.

Spontaneously stopped in to Thai Spoon….. I have been eating Thai cuisine for 30 plus years…. I have to say…. My first time eating here was such a great surprise…. The Pad Ped and Basil fried rice was outstanding……. My only regret is I live 40 miles away….

Delicious food, extremely hot, served quickly. We orderd the red curry and seafood combo. Portions were good and we thoroughly enjoyed the food, as although it was a bit spicy for my taste. I ordered medium for the spice level, and maybe next time I'd order a little less spice. Small diner, wonderful lady at the counter. Overall, great experience.
